I don't shop at Dollar Tree much,but here's at least some stiff I've found that are do's,and some definite busts.
Do:
Moisture absorbers:these are fine.
Bar s hot dogs:these are the cheapest hot dogs,and are actually about the same price as Target.
Food storage:decent quality,and does what it's supposed to.
Liter water bottles:at least when they still had the ice mountain brand,it was the same price as Schnucks.
Ketchup:not to terrible of a size for $1.
Pasta salad:pretty much about the same cost as the regular grocery store.
Bagels/bread:not a terrible price for some brand name bread,and the Elie's bagels actually taste pretty good!
Party supplies:duh!
Busts:
Garbage bags:literal garbage.they're SUPER thin,and rip easily(even the tie thing to tie it closed would rip open just getting the bag open to put stuff inside it).
Seasonal stuff:most of the seasonal decor is cheap plastic unless you only plan on using it for that year.
Flip flops:where the toe straps connect to the bottom of the shoes on the sides just gave me blisters within a few minutes.
Most of the food:it's probably fine to get a few things like cereal until you actually go shopping,most of the food is the smaller sizes,and it's mostly unhealthy food(espically in the cooler/freezer doors).
